Welcome to WE SABE!
"We Sabi" is a Krio phrase meaning "We Learn" (see more in About). We are an international partnership, including a US medical school and university hospital, a Sierra Leonean medical school, and a Sierra Leonean junior secondary school. We aim to increase health and science related learning for young teens in resource-poor areas through innovative tablet-based learning.

How do we sabe?
Part One: Pre-unit surveys.
We collect baseline data from each student to assess how much they already know before starting each unit.
Part Two: Watching the lessons.
We provide interactive, pre-recorded health-related lessons on tablets with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning components.
Part Three: Teaching our classmates what we learned.
Pilot students teach their classmates what they learned after each lesson to promote communication and collaboration (See “Our Core Pillars” in Curriculum).
I want to learn how does virus or bacteria pass into the body, where do they pass, and where do they live in the human body?
